ABOUT

My name is Beep Beep. England-born, school-defeated.

Education is a story I’ll leave for another time, not out of shame, but sheer boredom. To summarise: I was labelled stupid. I had accepted that label like a post-it slapped to the forehead. Years later, an adult version of myself stumbled upon a poem called The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe on a Halloween special of the Simpsons. I began to read his other works, and inspired, I began teaching myself to write.

Around the same time, I was teaching myself how to build websites. SEO at the time was primitive: just shove in a lot of words and pray someone’s search lands in your mess. And so, blogging (which was also trending at the time) seemed perfect for my website. Inspired by Jean-Paul Sartre's Nausea, I eventually transferred a lot on my original blog to book form, and moved on to other hobbies.

Fast-forward, I debate with myself, always have. A little Socratic in method, manic in practice. Thoughts swirl, ricochet, some go under the fridge, others bounce off the wall and into my eye. Without a wide circle of friends with eye-wash on hand, or to burden all this onto, I've decided to return to blogging. Not because I think the world desperately needs my opinion, but because I need it archived to be silent, like ticking a box, done.
